What is a Network?

A Network is:
2 or more devices,
connected together that
share resources
What are devices? Media

Not every computer, handheld gadget or other piece of equipment


is capable of joining a network. A network device possesses special
communications hardware to make the necessary physical
connections to other devices.
How do they connect?

So what does a network need?
Remember:
A network needs at least 2 or more devices.

We can store software etc on the server and open it on any computer.
Wide Area Network

geographic area, such as
a town, a city or country.
