Submission and Penalties on
Assessments
 Tests and Quiz
◦ Tests will be strictly done on Time. When STOP signal is given. All pens are to be
dropped and papers brought to the front.
◦ Only 10 seconds will be given for bring papers to the front before I walk out of the
classroom. Failure to give in the papers will result in a zero mark. No papers will be
accepted as I am walking to the office or as soon as I walk out of the classroom.
◦ A -5 marks will be given to anyone who follow me to the office and leave your
paper under my door.

 Assignments
◦ Due dates for assignment can only be changed ONCE. And this must be done two
days before the due date and whole class must sign to agree for the extension.
Due dates will not be changed on the due date and will not be changed a Day
before the Due date. This is to make student more time conscience.
◦ Late Submission will get a 25% deduction automatically. Late submission cannot be
more than 1 day. Late submission of more than 1 day = No Submission.
◦ All Hardcopy Submission will be done through my Pigeon Hole

Teaching Medium
 Lectures will be given through Power Point
Presentations.
 Notes will be posted on Google classroom (Class
Code for CE 351 is 94z7vuo). I encourage open
discussion on Google Classroom. Printed notes will
be minimum.
 ALL STUDENTS MUST BE ON GOOGLE CLASSROOM.
No excuses will be entertained!!
 Turnitin will also be used when submitting reports.
Get used to the turnitin.
 All notices, Announcements for test and quizzes and
discussion will be done through Google Classroom.

 Time Management for Students
◦ Students are encouraged to be mindful of the time
and how you manage your time.
◦ Many successful people will tell you that Time
management is key to their success.
◦ In Construction Management and projects, We
manage time. If you can manage your time now, I can
assure you that you will be able to manage projects
very well.
◦ Learn to Prioritise your life to what is important to
what is just a waste of your time

 Communication
◦ In this course, Communication is always important.
In your life as an engineer, you will see that you will
need to build your network. This is why it is very
important to communicate in class. If you do not
agree with something, then Say so. If you agree
with something say so.
◦ People who look down on you because you talk will
never live your life for you.
◦ If you are shy, then you can email or write on
Google classroom to express your thoughts and
opinions
