CLASSROOM PROCEDURES
1. ENTERING THE ROOM: find your seat quickly and spend the first 5-10
minutes of class looking for a CREDIBLE current event.
2. EXITING THE ROOM: you will NOT line up at the door and you will leave my
classroom nicer than you found it!
3. ABSENT: if you are absent please check the missing work folders hung up on
the wall and come ask questions AFTER you have checked the folders. If you are
going to be absent for awhile, please email me. COMMUNICATION IS KEY!
4. RESTROOM POLICY: GO BEFORE CLASS! If you absolutely must go to the
restroom, bring me your restroom pass and you have 5 minutes. If you are in the
restroom and late to class, you are late. If I find out you went somewhere else,
there will be consequences.
5. TARDY POLICY: if you are late to my class you need a pass from the office or
previous class. 5 unexcused tardies will result in a grade deduction

6. CELL PHONES: Cell phones will NOT be used unless instructed otherwise. They
will be put away in your bookbags. If cellphones are out when they aren’t
supposed to be, they will be confiscated by the teacher.
7. VULGAR LANGUAGE POLICY: There will be absolutely NO cussing in this
classroom. There will be consequences.
8. FOOD & DRINK: If you have a drink, it needs to be in a bottle with a lid. There
will be NO food in class this year, unless it is during snack time or lunch. NO
EXCEPTIONS.
9. TAKING NOTES: All notes WILL be handwritten. You are not going to take notes
on your iPad or phone unless instructed otherwise. Notes will be taken up at
different times throughout the year for a grade.
10. FINISHING WORK EARLY: if you finish work early find something productive
to do or work on other class work.
ASSESSMENT & GRADING
• Assessments will be a
combination of discussions,
participation, classwork,
quizzes, tests, projects, and
presentations.
• Grades will use a TOTAL
POINTS system
• All grades will be posted on
PowerSchool once they are
updated.
• ALL assignments will be
uploaded to Schoology so you
need to check there and make
sure you are in the right class.
HYBRID/REMOTE LEARNING
• This is a new learning environment for everyone, including teachers.
• You are EXPECTED to log onto Schoology every day and check course
work
• You are EXPECTED to get all assignments done and completed on
time.
• You are EXPECTED to check your school email regularly and daily.
• You are EXECTED to communicate with your teachers if there is an
issue or you have questions.
• Zeros will be put in this year if assignments aren’t done or turned in on
time.
HYBRID/REMOTE LEARNING
I am here for you! All your teachers are here for you! This is a very
frustrating experience for everyone. We understand that you will
become frustrated and angry. We understand that you more than likely
aren’t taking your frustration out on us teachers, just angrier at the
situation. I will do everything I can to make the situation(s) better.
Sometimes it will work, but sometimes it won’t. Please be patient with
yourself, each other, and your teachers. We are working together to
make this as smooth of a transition as possible. You are going to be
more accountable for your actions and education this year more than
ever. If you ever need anything, please just ask!
