Running Water Supply
• Water is usually supplied from a public
water source
• Public water source can be springs, wells,
which undergoes treatment at water plant.
• Avg. water supply determined by the number
of student and vary according to seasons
No Running Water Supply
• A typical solution would be to build a well.
• Water supplied through water tankers.
• Solutions to combat no water supply include
dry latrines.
• Other solutions include watertight tanks.
Water Storage in School

• Water tanks are either built overhead or


underground.
• Water storage is done in cisterns meeting
hygienic conditions
• Position of cisterns is done to give an
adequate flow through gravity
