Muscle fatigue is caused by the build up of lactic acid in our body. In order to reduce the amount of lactic
acid, a track suit is worn to prevent heat loss. Heat that is trapped in the body will maintain the body
temperature. Thus, less oxygen will be depleted to produce heat and the oxygen can instead be used to
oxidise and get rid of the lactic acid. Next, individual X takes a few long breaths in order to obtain more
oxygen content. This will pay off the oxygen debt and be used to oxidise the lactic acid. Lastly, the individual
walks freely as a cooling down activity in order to maintain a steady blood circulation. This will allow the
lactic acid to be transported to the liver, where it is oxidized.

Muscle fatigue is caused by the build up of lactic acid in our body. In order to reduce the amount of lactic
acid, a track suit is worn to prevent heat loss (F1). Heat that is trapped in the body will maintain the body
temperature (E1). Thus, less oxygen will be depleted to produce heat and the oxygen can instead be used to
oxidise and get rid of the lactic acid (E2). Next, individual X takes a few long breaths in order to obtain more
oxygen content (F2). This will pay off the oxygen debt (E3) and be used to oxidise the lactic acid (E4). Lastly,
the individual walks freely as a cooling down activity in order to maintain a steady blood circulation (F3). This
will allow the lactic acid to be transported to the liver (E5), where it is oxidized.
