Presentation Fear of NSU Students
 Presentation is a means of communication that can be
adapted to various speaking situation, such as talking to
a group, addressing a meeting or briefing a team.

What is Presentation?
 Presentation is almost a new term for newly admitted
freshmen NSU students.
 Some of them have fear on presentations.
 Main issue for this fear is public speaking skills.
 Some student feel shy or some might have
embarrassing experience.

Background
 Presentation and public speaking skill is a blessing for
any students because it encourages a student to voice
him or her ideas.
 Secondary school or higher secondary school do no
provide any public speaking experience towards the
students.
 In higher education they struggle of presentation or
public speaking as they do not have experience before.

1. What is presentation fear? Why students are afraid
of presentation?
2. Who fears more: business students or Non-
business students?
3. Is it because of lack of public speaking
experience? If so, who does it affect more:
business students or non-business students?

4. Why business/Non-business students feel
confident about the presentation or public speaking?
5. What are the reasons for being nervous during the
presentation?
6. Is it because of a lack of academic, public
speaking experience? If so, who does it affect more:
business students or Non-business students?
7. Why do students are unaware of public speaking
experience?

NSU business students are more confident of presentation
than other schools of North South University because of
having public speaking academically.

 SBE students have more presentation experience than
other departments’ students before admit NSU.
 SBE students have taken more presentation development
course than business students.
 SBE students are confident about presentation.
 All the respondent agree that lack of public speaking
experience is responsible of presentation fear.

Findings
 NSU business students are more confident of
presentation than other schools of North South
University proved right.
 My assumption “having public speaking
academically” also proved right.

So my hypothesis is correct!

Hypothesis Testing
• NSU’s non-business students are more afraid of
presentation.
• Some students marked them as they are introvert.
• Non-business students who fear presentation and
majority of them have not done a presentation
development course earlier.
• I have face some trouble while doing the research.
• The time was short.
• NSU library resource was not available.

Final Words
