EARLIER CUISINES

 Earlier people were not willing to come out of their


comfortable and familiar food habits

 Less exposure to outside culture and cuisines due to less


globalization in the consumer food service market.
 People saw going out to dinner as a grand occasion with family and
only went out very rarely

 Since we were a highly patriarchal society, only men earned most


of the wages and hence there was lesser disposable income

 Even if people were willing to try out new things, there would be
various obstructions like long travel, not affordable, etc.
PRESENT CUISINE

 Today’s generation has become much more


experimental with their eating habits

 Ease of availability of multi cuisines and increase in


economic growth allowied people to explore these
 Today people being health conscious and
fitness freaks is shifting to much healthier
global cuisines

 The rise in internet exposure and social media is


influencing millennials to try their favorite
cuisines

 Availability of multiple cuisines at the door step with


user friendly apps
