Mobilization of candidates

• Rural youth from households covered in:

Training under DDU-GKY

Placements in DDU-GKY

Definition of Placement under DDU-GKY


• A continuous placement for three months in a job with a regular wage is considered as placement
(same employer not necessary)
Accepted proof for a regular wage employment
• Salary slips from HR department of employer
• Certificate from employer:
• indicating wages paid,
• counter-signed by employee
• Supported with a bank statement that wages have been paid by crossed demand draft or money
transfer
Verification of placements:
• Desk verification at two levels- PIA Q team and SRLM
• Physical verification on sample basis at three levels-PIA Q team, SRLM and CTSA
• Placement tracking by PIAs for 12 months

Role of State Government

• Establish Skills team at State, District & sub-district level

• 3- stage project appraisal in a time-bound manner- 10 days for Initial Screening, 30
days for Qualitative Appraisal and decision by PAC in 30 days
• Projects shortlisted by PAC sanctioned by States from its approved Action Plan
targets.
DDU-GKY – Cost components to PIAs

• DDU-GKY follows fixed-cost model- prescribed in Common Norms for Skill


Development schemes notified by MSDE
• Candidate training cost (Rs.28.80 per hour to Rs.40.40 per hour )
• Uniforms to candidates (Rs.1000 –Rs.2000 per candidate)
• Boarding & Lodging (Rs.175 to Rs.300 per candidate per day)
• Food and To & Fro charges in Non residential training(Rs100 per day)
• Post Placement Support (Rs.2000 to Rs.6000 per candidate)
• One Time travel support @Rs.4,500 per candidate
• Assessment and certification charges (Rs.1500 per candidate)
• Mobile Tracking support (Rs.600 per candidate annually)
