RAW MATERIALS:
 
 The Raw Material used in Haryana Distillery Ltd. To synthesize Alcohol is
Molasses.
 Molasses is the waste of the Sugar Industry.
 Molasses is a dark and viscous liquid left after in sugar industry.
 After Sugar crystals are formed from Cane Juice in Vacuum Pan
Crystalliser, Mother Liquor is separated out.
 This mother liquor is called Molasses.
 Molasses contain the reducing sugars.
RAW MATERIALS-II:
 
 These Reducing Sugar’s quantity in a particular molasses tell us the
quantity of alcohol that can be synthesized.
 HDL depends upon nearby Sugar Industries for their Molasses.
 Molasses are brought to the industry premises of Haryana Industry Ltd. In
trucks and loaders.
 A sample of Molasses is taken from each truck and loader for Quality
check.
 After withdrawing the sample, Molasses are stored in The Molasses Storage
Tanks of the industry.
 Haryana Distillery Limited has three Molasses storage tank.

Diameter: 72.9 foot
Capacity: 50,000 Quintals 
QUALITY CONTROL OF DRY GOODS:
 Talking about Quality Control in Haryana Distillery Ltd, there are very
specific and controlled measures taken.
 Seal Sizes:
Quartz: 28mm
Pints and Nibs: 25mm
 To check bursting strength of corrugated boxes, the distillery has a machine
installed.
 The bursting strength of any corrugated box is not accepted below 4.0 kg/c
 Labels are weighed like Weight of a label for Quartz should be 75gsm.
SUMMARY:

Our four weeks in Haryana Distillery Limited, Yamuna Nagar can be

summarised as an industrial training where each individual is keen to guide
you and shower your knowledge.
With the co-operation of all the staff, we gained the knowledge of
whereabouts of a Distillery which was our objective as a summer trainee.
If we’ve to summarise
How Molasses is converted to ENA (Extra Neutral Alcohol)?
1. How spent wash is converted to Bio Gas?
2. How ENA takes form of final Country Liquor?

Here, we found the answers to these questions and this project report
also covers the same.
With an increasing competition in the market, HDL has been
successful in maintaining the quality and sales of its country liquor Brands.
