FIRST ARTICLE
 PhilHealth Fraud
Claim:
● Based on the article Thorrsson
Montes Keith believe that the
total amount of money spent
and pocketed amounted to
more or less ₱15 billion. 
Evidences:
● He is the anti-fraud legal officer who resigned due to
widespread corruption within the office. 
● The 15 billion pesos covers the unauthorized release
of interim reimbursement mechanisms or funds
allocated for "fortuitous events" such as the pandemic,
to hospitals who have not yet recorded COVID-19
cases.
● Cabading supported Keith’s claim, a member of the
PhilHealth board, a certified public accountant, said
he had repeatedly questioned the proposed P2.1-
billion information technology project.
SECOND ARTICLE

CORONAVIRUS
Claim:
● Based on an article from ABS-
CBN (2020), the article
claimed that corona virus
doesn’t only affect the lungs
but it can also affect the brain.  ●
Evidences:
● According to a study conducted by experts on Yale
University, corona virus can also cause delirium,
confusion and hallucination. In addition, radiological and
laboratory findings the corona virus can also attack the
central and peripheral nervous system.
● It is a basic knowledge that corona virus can’t multiply on
their own, thus, they would need a host in order for them
to multiply. 
A test known as MRI was used to test how the virus affected 3
deceased citizen caused by the virus. They found para-/post-
infectious central syndromes cause by severe infection.
Additionally, the scientists also tested the effect of corona
virus in the brain of affected rats using the same method.
THIRD ARTICLE
MANILA BAY WHITE SAND
BEACH
Claim:
● Based on the article DENR
Executive said “It is impossible for
the crushed dolomite or artificial
white sand used for the
beautification of the shoreline of
Manila Bay to have caused the
fishkill in the waters of Manila Bay
close to the Baseco in Tondo,
Manila.”
Evidences:
● The fishkill happened only in Baseco area. 
● The two shorelines are five-kilometers apart from
each other; A breakwater structure also separates the
two site.
● The agency is not discounting the possibility that the
fishkill was intentionally done, not from the dolomite
sand.
● The water quality test results showed that the Baseco
area had a very low level of dissolved oxygen of 0.11
milligrams per liter. The acceptable level for marine
waters is 5 mg/L, Gorgona said.
