Sequence & Series
 Arrangement of Numbers is called a
Sequence.
 It is a function whose Domain is the set of

Natural Numbers.eg(1,2,3,4,5,……k)
 A Series in which all the terms of Sequence

are added.eg:1+2+34+5+6…..+45
Arithmetic Progression
 It is a sequence in which terms increase or
decrease regularly by same content.
 This same content is called Common

Difference denoted by (d).

 First term is denoted by (a).
 Last term is denoted by (l or an th).
 eg:1,3,5,7,9……..
Geometric Progression
 A sequence is said to be a Geometric
Progression or G.P, if the ration of any term
to its preceding term is constant.
 This constant factor/ratio is called Common

Ration denoted by (r).
