Socrative is a cloud-based student response system developed in 2010 by Boston- based

graduated school students. It allows teachers to create simple quizzes that students can
quickly take on laptops or via classroom tablets.

You can access Socrative for free or you could pay for a membership which includes
more features. 
 There are many different tools you can use on Socrative. The name
of the four tools that you could use are quiz, space race, exit ticket,
and quick question. 
• Space race- this tool allows students to work in small groups and
"race" each other in the form of a quiz
• Exit ticket- this is used for the end of class to gather information
on what the class learned that day 
TOOLS • Quick question- one question in poll format so students can
answer a question quickly 
• Quiz- used to study a certain topic

• Socrative can be very useful in any classroom, for any grade level.
There are many tools within the app that can help your students
learn. 

• After I teach a health lesson to my 10th grade class, I can give them

an exit ticket on this app to help me gather information about what
they learned. This will allow me to see what the students understood
and what they did not. Also, the quiz tool will help my students study
for an upcoming exam.
