This drill teaches kids to make good form tackles in close quarters. The kids lay facing away from each other, and at the whistle both get up and run around cones to meet in the middle, where the defender aims to make a good form tackle after a collision.

This is a great drill to get the kids Tunnel of Love
used to hitting and making good form
tackles in close quarters.
Have each kid lay down facing away
from each other. On the whistle (don’t use a snap count, the whistle forces the defender to have to react more quickly) Both kids will get up run around the cones as shown meeting in the middle with what should be a pretty good collision and the defender making a good form tackle.
