    What are Light Waves?

     Light is electromagnetic radiation within a certain portion of the electromagnetic


    spectrum. The word usually refers to visible light, which is the visible specrum
    that is visible to the  human eye and is responsible for the sense of sight.Visible
    light is usually defined as having wave lenght in the range of 3.75 × 1014 to 7.714
    ×1014 m
     In vacuum or in air the wavelength of the visible light waves rsnge between
    400nm and 800nm
    Note: nm is Nano meter
    1nm= 10-9
    The Visible Spectrum
     For each wavelength value corresponds a particular color of light

    There are 2 types of light :
    Monochromatic light
    Polychromatic light

    Monocromatic Polychromatic
    Infrared and Ultraviolet
