What is IMS?

Inspection Management System (IMS) is a web-basis program developed by


our Information and Communication Technology Division to manage shop
inspection activity

Three main menu


1. Create AFI (Application for
Inspection)
• All inspection invitation to Rekind
must be created via IMS (via menu
“Create AFI”)
• AFI = RFI (Request for Inspection)
• Fill the data, attach filled RFI
template
• then click “Save” button
• Notification for inspection shall be
sent no longer than 16 days prior to
inspection for local area and 35
days for overseas
• QC procedure from vendor shall
get at least status approved with
comment before inspection

Inspection Step (Fabrication/Package)
KOM (Kick
Off Meeting) If vendor get invitation to KOM, vendor shall make AFI through IMS for ‘Kick Off Meeting’

Pre-
Inspection If vendor invite Rekind & Client for PIM, vendor shall make AFI through IMS for ‘Pre-Inspection
Meeting Meeting’
(PIM)

Inspection Vendor shall make AFI through IMS for ‘Inspection’ when vendor invite Rekind to inspect materials

Material Vendor shall make AFI through IMS for ‘Material Verification’ when vendor invite Rekind to inspect
Verification incoming materials before start fabrication
Vendor shall make AFI through IMS for ‘In Process Inspection’ when vendor invite Rekind to inspect
In Process
Inspection incoming materials in the process of fabrication (Welding Inspection, Assembly Inspection, etc – as
per ITP)
Function Vendor shall make AFI through IMS for ‘Function Test (FAT)’ when vendor invite Rekind to inspect
Test (FAT) the function of the materials (Hydro-test, running test, balancing test, etc – as per ITP)

Final Vendor shall make AFI through IMS for ‘Final Inspection’ when vendor invite Rekind to inspect the
Inspection final check of equipment before shipment

MDR Vendor shall make AFI through IMS for ‘MDR review’, parallel when vendor send MDR document

3. PO Update
• Click PO update to print IRC (Inspection Release Certificate) and view PO
status
• If the Inspection step are completed, vendor can print IRC with entry
validation code, which is auto-generated by system

• Validation code only generated one time. So if vendor wants to print


IRC again, it does need to enter code multiple times
What is IRC?

• A certificate from QC to be issued when all


material, inspection steps and certificates are
completed
• Contact the expediter (cc: QC) to get status of
IRC
• Example of IRC that will be generated through
IMS. (Certificate No. and Validation Code are
automatically generated by IMS)
