Objectives

After learning this chapter you will be able to :

Explain organization levels of living organisms
Explain that the body of an organism is make up of
complex structure
Explain that structure of organism life body is built
of molecules
Explain that basic unit of living organisms is cell
Explain that molecules, cell, tissue, organ, organ
system, individual, population, ecosystem, and biome
make organization of living organism.
Organization Levels of Living Organism
a. Molecule
Molecule is the smallest units in which two or more
atoms of the same element or different ones are
bounded together.Ex : Carbohydrate, Lipides,
Protein., Nucleic Acid.

b. Cell
Cell is the smallest unit having the capacity to live
and reproduce, either independently or as part of a
multicellular organisms. Ex : Red blood cell,
Muscular cell, Sperm cell,etc.
c. Tissue
An organized group of cells with the same structure and functions.
Ex : nervous tissue, muscle tissue.

d. Organ
A group of several tissues form organ. Ex :in animals (Heart,
brain), in Plants ( root, stem)
e. Organ Sytem
Organ system consists of two or more organs and has specific
functions. Ex : digestive system, respiratory system, regulatory
system.

f. Organism
Number of various organ systems will form organism.
g. Community
The population of all species occupying the same area.
Ex : beach community.

h. Ecosystem
A community and its physical environment (such soil and water).
i. Biome
It is a large communities on earth
