HEALTH TOURISM OPPORTUNITIES IN INDONESIA

Health tourism is a relatively new concept in Indonesia and the idea is still often confused or used
interchangeably with medical tourism or health tourism.

One of Health tourism opportunities in Indonesia is Spa. Spa rooted deeply in the Indonesian
tradition. It has evolved from a mixture of the Hindu, Buddhism, and Muslim cultures over
thousands of years. Bali has become a leader in luxury spa tourism in Asia and is home to more
than 20 of the world’s best spas. Spas are starting to grow in some larger cities like Jakarta,
Surabaya, Bandung.
