    Conflict is an inevitable part of human interaction that can have both functional and dysfunctional outcomes. It arises from differences in needs, opinions, and expectations between individuals. While conflicts can promote innovation if resolved constructively, dysfunctional conflicts are characterized by threats to goals and relationships, wasted resources, and unproductive delays. Symptoms of conflict include tensions, poor communication, lowered morale and productivity, and increased accidents or absences.     Reality of Conflict
    • Conflict between people is a fact of life

    • Conflicts occur at all levels of interaction

    • Whether a relationship is healthy or unhealthy


    depends not so much on the number of conflicts
    between participants, but on how the conflicts
    are resolved.
