How can I identify a visual learner?

“When I see it, I understand”

Visual learners understand written
instructions better than oral.
Visuals pay more attention to gestures and
facial expressions and movements.
Once they know the spelling of a word, a
visual learner can easily locate it in a
dictionary.
Visual learners can be distracted by noise
and need a quiet environment to
concentrate.
How to make Learning Visual In
Your Classroom.
 Students
can visually
demonstrate what they ‘know’

 Use visualphysical and digital media

to teach abstract concepts
 Useconcept-maps to drive creative
and critical thinking

 Use compelling visual media

(including art, physical artifacts,
video, video games, film, etc.)
Auditory
 An auditory learner is defined as ‘one who recalls
at least 75% of what is heard or discussed or heard
in a normal forty to forty-five period’.
Kinesthetic Learners
 The often cannot remember too much of what they
are shown or many specifics. They learn best by a
combination of experiences.
