 Abstract

Occupational safety plays a vital role in improving the

economic growth of SME’s in Bangladesh. SME’s company
Ltd. Is the factory that follows occupational safety but not
in an organized way. Safety participation through safety
compliance system will be added value to the economic
growth in context of SME company Ltd.
Background of the problem

SME company Ltd. Is a well-established garment factory

in Bangladesh. The management of SME company Ltd.
revealed that since 2016 company’s economic growth is
decreasing. To investigate the decrease in economic
growth, the management hired a group of researchers.
 Problem statement
In this study, the researchers will investigate safety
training, management commitment, safety rules and
procedures in relation to safety compliance.
(Subramanian et al. 2016). Further the author
mentioned that researchers will also need to study the
safety citizenship behavior and use of technology to
better understand safety compliance in context of SME
garment company Ltd.
 Research questions
This study proposes to investigate the following questions:
• How does workers involvement affect safety compliance in
context of SME company Ltd. in Bangladesh?
• How does safety promotion policies affect safety compliance
in context of SME company Ltd. in Bangladesh?
• How does safety rules and procedures affect safety
compliance in context of SME company Ltd. in Bangladesh?
• How does safety citizenship behavior affect safety
compliance in context of SME company Ltd. in Bangladesh?
• How does use of technology affect safety compliance in
context of SME company Ltd. in Bangladesh?
 Hypotheses
The hypotheses with can be established from the research
questions are:

Due to time constraints and limited resources, the sampling

frame for this study was limited. Therefore, results must be
used with caution. The data collection method is based on
employees safety participations regarding SME company’s local
environment, which may or may not reflect what is going on in
the organization as a whole.
 Significance

This Study confirms safety participation through safety

compliance is one of the most critical factor in Bangladesh. SME
company Ltd. have to portray the positive site of safety
compliance. The company have to explain about the safety
participation as a mediator in the relationship between six facts
of safety management practices.
