Those places are very crowded and it’s ideal for the
person, club, organization makes a statement that

 An announcement is a statement that makes something
known publicly.
In spoken announcement usually consists of:
 An opening, for example: Attention all, May I have your
attention, please?, end so on.
 A body, depending what the announcement is about.
 A closing, for example : Thank you, Thanks for your
attention, etc.
We can hear such an announcement, especially when we go
shopping in mall or supermarket, visiting museum.
