Type of pollution Causes
Noise The overpopulation. Large
families living in small areas,
large amounts of people busily
going in Cairo.
Air More people which means more
cars on the road, leaving quite a
large carbon footprint.
Land Overpopulation causes more
people means more trash, and
this means that sometimes
there is so much trash that it
just piles up uncollected
because there is nowhere to put
it.
Water This is sometimes caused by
improper waste treatment,
chemical dumping, and high
agricultural runoff.
Effect
It causes stress, as people do
not want to live in a noisy
disturbing environment
Can cause respiratory diseases
and sometimes even cancer,
from the harmful chemicals
being led into the air.
It can cause sickness spreading
more easily due to the
uncleanliness and trash
surrounding the people living in
Cairo.
This is a huge problem in Cairo,
because of the Nile river being
so close. The Nile is then
polluted with the trash and
pollution getting into the water
which people use for cooking,
cleaning, drinking and bathing
which is a medical threat.
