From one hectare, about 2.4lakh metres of banana rope

can be made
This would give an additional income of Rs 1lakh per
hectare
The machine on an average can produce 15,000m of
rope per day.

• Flagship program of the State Government - for creating entrepreneurship
opportunities by connecting research and resources.
• EDII initiated establishment of low cost manufacturing incubators
• globalizing indigenous Indian research products
• mentored to provide start-up support and to interface with rural communities
and help them develop small innovative businesses.
• The institutions were selected through a competitive, multi-step evaluation
criteria and institutes with core research competencies and domain expertise
were selected.
