STATEMENT

"Magnetic field(B) along vertical


current carrying conductor/wire in
a closed surface is directly
proportional to the current(I) and
inversely proportional to the
perpendicular distance from the
point of conductor/wire
PROOF
Consider a current carrying conductor in a closed surface.
Mathematically,
B ∝I/r
B=KI/r
Where K= ∝ constant and it value depends on
nature of closed surface where conductor is
situated
µ0=permeability of free space
= 4 x 10e-7 h/m
K = 2 x 10e-7 h/m
B = µ0I/2π
Biot Savart Law Applications

This law can be used for calculating


magnetic reactions even on the level of
molecular or atomic. It can be used in the
theory of aerodynamic for determining
the velocity encouraged with vortex lines
