ABSTRACT
• In this project development of advanced gas leakage detection robot is implemented.

• Whenever gas is leaked then the robot will sense and gives buzzer indication.

• In the same way it will go through that leakage detection place and off the gas value
using motor driver circuit.

• By using this it will save the lives of human beings.

• Hence this project gives effective results.

INTRODUCTION
• Gas leakage leads to various accidents resulting in both material loss and human
injuries.

• The risk of explosion, firing, suffocation are based on their physical properties such
toxicity, flammability, etc.

• The number of deaths due to explosion of gas cylinders has been increasing in
recent years.

• The reason for such explosion is due to substandard cylinders, old valves, worn out
regulators and lack of awareness in handling gas cylinders.

• The LPG or propane is a flammable mixture of hydrocarbon gases used as fuel in

many applications.
EXISTED SYSTEM
DISADVANTAGES

• There is no detection process.

• Loss of human life

• High complexity

• Takes more time

PROPOSED SYSTEM
Continuation …..
• The above figure shows the block diagram of proposed system.

• Whenever gas is leaked then the robot will sense and gives buzzer
indication.

• In the same way it will go through that leakage detection place and off the
gas value using motor driver circuit.

• By using this it will save the lives of human beings.

SOFTWARE USED
 Arduino Software

• The open-source Arduino Software (IDE) makes it easy to

write code and upload it to the board.
• It runs on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.

• The environment is written in Java and based on Processing

and other open-source software.
• This software can be used with any Arduino board.
HARDWARE USED
• Arduino

• Power supply

• Buzzer

• Gas sensor

• Bluetooth

• Motor Driver circuit

ARDUINO

• Arduino refers to an open-source electronics platform or board and the

software used to program it.

• Arduino is designed to make electronics more accessible to artists,

designers, hobbyists and anyone interested in creating interactive objects or
environments.
POWER SUPPLY

 POWER SUPPLY
• Transformer : 12V step down
• Filter : 1000uf/25V
• Voltage Regulator : 7805 / 7812
BUZZER

• A buzzer or beeper is an audio
signalling system or device, which
may be mechanical,
 electromechanical or piezoelectric.
GAS SENSOR
• MQ2 Gas Sensor Module MQ2 gas sensor can be
used to detect the presence of LPG, Propane and
Hydrogen, also could be used to detect Methane and
other combustible steam, it is low cost and suitable for
different application.

• Sensor is sensitive to flammable gas and smoke.

Smoke sensor is given 5 volt to power it.
BLUETOOTH
• HC‐05 module is an easy to use Bluetooth SPP
(Serial Port Protocol) module designed for
transparent wireless serial connection set up.

• The HC-05 Bluetooth Module can be used in a

Master or Slave configuration, making it a great
solution for wireless communication.

• The Bluetooth module HC-05 is a

MASTER/SLAVE module.
MOTOR DRIVER CIRCUIT
• The L293D motor driver is available for
providing User with ease and user friendly
interfacing for embedded application.

• L293D motor driver is mounted on a good

quality, single sided non-PTH PCB.

• The pins of L293D motor driver IC are

connected to connectors for easy access to the
driver IC’s pin functions.
ADVANTAGES
• Detects very fast

• No loss of human life

• No complexity

• Takes less time

APPLICATIONS
• Proposed system can be used in educational institutions.

• This system used in business organizations.

• This system used in industries.

CONCLUSION
• Hence in this project development of advanced gas leakage detection robot
was implemented.

• By using this project we can avoid the gas leakage problems and also avoid
the fire accidents.

• Hence this project gives effective results
