How can engineer built his small TV component
shop.
1) Mr. Pramod Gupta from old Delhi was an government employee who was not
satisfied by his job would go to his terrace try his hand at making transistors radio.
2) By thinking this to implementing this through idea he earned upto the legacy Rs 639
crore his company is in listed of BSE & NSE Indian manufacturing business.
3) PG Electroplast Ltd is an electronic & plastic manufacturing company.
4) Pramod Gupta’s son Vikas Gupta said that his father was an engineer from Birla
Institute of Technology & Science. He also worked in Defence Research and
Development Orignisation (DRDO) in various defence system as he was natural
entrepreneur was not satisfied by his job.
5) Few years were challenges for first time entrepreneur which there was the
requirement of lots of capital.

6) There brand hesitate for small order but initially start scaling there business comfort.
7) In 90’s after having good business they started there own manufacturing unit and started
producing complete TV sets.
8) In 1995 they opened their first factory in Noida they were making complete black & white TV but
from 1997 they stsrted making colour TV.
9) As the business was growing very good but they have set back in 2011. As industry quickly
pivoted to flat screen TV due which whole manufacturing shifted to china.
10) They lost almost 70% business but in 2016 they started delivering finished product air cooler,
AC, washing machine.
11) At present they have six manufacturing unite out of them 5 are owned by them & remaining one
is build to suit lease.
12) In covid-19 pandemic hit PGEL spent in the complete lockdown & second quarter in
manufacturing & with the restriction of number of people involved.
