• Liloan is a first income class municipality located in the

eastern coast of Cebu Province. And is part of the Fifth
Congressional district of Cebu
• Liloan is currently under the leadership of Mayor Ma.

• It is approximately 19 kilometres from Cebu city and has a
total land area of 5, 210 hectares or 1% of the total land
area of Cebu Province
 Strengths Weaknesses

Active barangay official - initiated several

ordinances and projects for the community such
as municipal wide feeding, Livelihood Skills
Training, tree planting, Project Lupad and Liloan
Works project.

Political Structure – the municipality has a full

support from the Cebu Province.

The LGU adopted latest communication

It has a growing number of commercial

establishments hence increasing revenue for the
municipality

Due to its location, tourism industry is

flourishing. More investors were interested in

and industrial expansion , the LGU is facing
several problems such as traffic congestion,
drainage system problem and pollution in the
coastal area

No proper final wastes disposal – due to

increasing wastes generation from subdivisions
and commercial establishments, wastes

Bill seeking the to convert Liloan into a

component city of Cebu . will greatly boost the
capacity of the LGU to address the increasing
