• Dress code matters more in corporate than in campus


• Teamwork is key to success in corporate and In campus
it's all for individual success
• Unofficial meetings, strikes, demonstrations, agitations,
and fund collection are strictly prohibited in corporate.
• Sometime puntuality can be compromised in campus but
in corporate puntuality reflects you.
• In college we pay to learn whereas in corporate we get
paid for what we've learned.

• Habitual negligence in college work, dishonesty, obscenity
in word or act or any other act will affect individual growth,
but in corporate it affects company and whole team.
• In corporate there one may can face sexual harrasment
and in campus we face ragging.(Wipro is committed to
providing a workplace free from discrimination or
harrasment.)
Work Space Etiquette

• Workspace Etiquettes refers to the socially acceptable ways that


we interact with one another and behave in the work space.
• Acceptable standards of communication and interaction in our
workplace may vary from one workplace to another, however, I
believe some etiquettes which are universally acceptable or not
• A lot of workplace etiquettes has to do with common courtesy,
making our workplace a comfortable place that is important to
productivity and success.
Cubicle, Elevator and Cafeteria Etiquette

Cubicle Etiquette
• Don't yell across the room.
• Avoid speakerphone and don't discuss personal or
confidential issues

Elevator Etiquette
• Always face the elevator doors
• Minimal eye contact is standard
Cafeteria Etiquette

• Make way for your colleagues, don't stand


in the way!
• DO NOT put your spoon in the sugar pot
after stirring your coffee with it!
• Do not take up loads of time for
microwaving your food
Generation Y
Generation Y is known as the generation which was
born between the early 1980s and the early 2000s.
There are no precise dates for when this generation
starts and ends and experts also do not agree on
when Gen Y started.
Members/People in this generation are called Millennials
or Digital Natives. They do not know a life without the
internet. Socializing via Facebook, Instagram and Co.
isessential for them. The millennium generation, as it is
often called, has grown up with the internet and new
technologies like smartphones, laptops and social media.
Strengths of Generation Y :
1.Of all generations currently featuring in the workforce, Millennial
are considered the most independent workers

2.Millennials are concerned with ethics and the social


responsibility of the organization they work for

3.Millennials have grown up sourcing information, they need to


be left to create their own processes rather than being told
exactly what to do

Expections of
Generation Y :
1.They are looking for a good work-life balance, flexible working hours and strong
diversity policies.

2.They also expect to rise rapidly through the organization and move up the
ladder very fast.

3. Corporate Responsibilities have to meet the expectations of the Millennials or


they will leave their employer.

4. They grew up with new technology. Consequently, they are affine to the digital
world and they will take advantage of it.
