Equity and Inclusion
NEP is a comprehensive framework for primary to higher education as well as vocational training in
both rural and urban India. This is an all-inclusive policy that aims to guide the development of
education in the country.

By including all layers of the country, the policy aims to intensify the concept of ‘One-India’ building a
strong bond and connection within the country.

The National Education Policy, 2020 has conveyed the structural change in the education system which
aim to make India the Global knowledge super power ensuring equity and inclusion.

Equitable Education
In an ‘equitable' school system,
students' special needs and unequal
socioeconomic backgrounds are
recognised and resources (for
example, teaching expertise) are
distributed unequally in an attempt to
redress disadvantage due to personal
and social circumstances. Here
again, ‘equity' is achieved by
prioritising fairness over equality.
Inclusive Education
Inclusive Education (IE) is
a new approach towards
educating the children with
disability and learning
difficulties with that of
normal ones within the
same roof.
Recognising, identifying and
fostering the unique capabilities of
each student by sensitizing
teachers and parents.

Respect for diversity and local


context in all curriculum pedagogy
and policy and taking education as
a concurrent subject.
