Insights
- e-Shop has recorded the highest
average consumer spend per
transactions. This helps eShop have
higher profits than its competitors.

- Other stores, although, aren’t pretty far

away and have pretty similar average
customer spend. So the race for the
highest spend will fluctuate a lot in the
coming years.

- Every store experienced a drop in sales

in 2014 which might be due to
decreased demand of some preoducts
or preference of online shopping
Requirement 2
Insights
- The Male and Female population is
very similar for a particular year (no
major difference).

- The males percentage increased by a

small margin over an year thus
leading to a decrease in female
population.

- To promote its male customer

growth, e-Shop should change the
collection to one which was before
Key- and offer discounts to keep on
❖ Blue represents sales in males and orange in females attract more customers.
❖ The upper represents sales in 2011 and the latter in 2012.

Insights
- The sales percentage of bags is
much less as compared to the other
category products in every shop. So,
having bags in the shop is a liability
to the business

- The sales percentage of books is the

highest in every shop. So, having a
stock of books is an asset to the
store

- The shopping behaviour taken on

an average for all the stores is :
Books > Electronics > Home and
Kitchen > Clothing/Footwear >
Bags

Insights
- Eshop has been the most popular
store type accounting for ~40%
sales

- HomeMart should continue

focusing on eshop

- All three of the other store types

have had a fairly equal
contribution to the total sales.

Insights
- Electronics have always been in
demand at e-shops and have been sold
twice the amount of clothes sold,
although the sales of electronics are
falling whereas the sales of clothes is
increasing.

- In 2011 the percentage of total sales of

electronics was 65% whereas in 2013 it
has been reduced to 62%.

- On the other hand in 2011 the

percentage of total sales of clothing was
35% whereas in 2013 it has been
increased to 38%.

Insights
- More or less, every sub category has
had almost equal amount of sales
(some subcategories like men and
women have been a part of a variety
of categories but averaging out,
every sub category has had pretty
similar sales)

- However, academics appears to have

the most sales considering it’s only a
part of a certain category (books).

- Therefore, the shop seems to be

located at a studious area.
