indicates the wearer’s invulnerability to darkness
and fear.

Tips in Performing the POOMSAE
1. Every stance must be steady and balance in position
without movement unless proceeding to the next one.

2. It must be strong and with power to become effective


to the people.

3. Precision is the most important of the poomsae as an


art because it gives more fire during actual demonstration.

4. Shout (Kihap) must be loud enough to be heard by the


people for the impact of the performance.
