Huck-a-Back weave
• Toweling fabrics
• Associated with honey comb fabrics
• Constructed alternately combining floats and
plain weave
• Suitable for providing heavy textures
• Heavy verieties – ‘Grecians’
Characteristics
• Repeat is about four equal parts
– Two parts - plain weave
– Two parts – long float motif
• Plain weave gives firmness
• Long floats motif gives moisture absorbency.
Construction
• Divide the repeat into four equal parts
• Fill alternate sides with plain weave
• Fill the other two alternate sides with motif
