Uses/Purposes of Fine Art Photography
• Fine art photography is a big contrast to photojournalism, as it is not
factual or educational. Therefore, it would not be used in newspapers
and magazines. However, it is used in restaurant and in art exhibition,
to entice a person to engage with the art.
• The reason why is because it’s so innovative and diverse in the
photographer scopes in their manner, the outcome can be used and
interpreted in numerous of ways.

• Photojournalism is Journalism where, writing is in lower position to
it’s photos; normally the photographs award the news account. It
differs from celebrity photography and documentary, due to it’s
qualities of being staid and solemn.
• Consequently, newspapers and magazines are frequently used in
Photojournalism.
Uses /Purposes of Photojournalism
• Newspapers and magazines use this kind to tell a chronicle, through
images or to provide the text a subliminal image to further on
increase a persons understanding.
• The motive of photojournalism is to seize an event and people that
construct the news. Images are timeless and conceive trust in the
public, that it’s factual and comprehends their enigma to the
information.
• These types of photos are emotive and influential.
Promotional Photography
• Promotional photography is photos of products or places for
promotional purposes. The photos used in promotional photography
are used in promoting a product, place or a cause. This publicises
what it is they are promoting by placing the product in the audience’s
face.
Use/Purposes to Promotional Photography
• Promotional Photography is taken primarily for media purposes and it
used to promote and help sell a product. Such as, artists or band
albums; they tend to use fine art according to the vision or vibe of
their album.
• Or to promote a place, making people want to visit or live in the area;
selling properties, capturing images for a company website
• Posters, adverts in magazines and newspapers are all examples of
how photography is used in the media.
