Add Verb

A word that adds some meaning to a verb, adjective, adverb etc.. is called an Adverb.
Example:
• She walks slowly after the medical treatment.
• You have solved the questions quite correctly.
• He had completed his work properly.
• I can do it easily.
• She wept bitterly.
• My brother works hard to pass the exam.

Adverb of place:
An adverb that indicates place is an Adverb of place:

Ex: in, out, up, near, here, there, away, down

• She was looking forward to you.

• He has kept your book somewhere.

• Get out.

• You can meet him anywhere.

• Please sit here.


Adverb of time:
An adverb which indicates something about time of incident, state, etc. is called an Adverb of
time.

Ex: before, now, soon, never, since, late, formerly, today, daily, already, yet etc.
• He will never help you.

• She has already paid money.

• They have started it soon.

• I got up early in the morning.


Adverb of frequency:
An adverb which shows how often the incident takes place is called an adverb of frequency.

Ex: never, occasionally, generally, seldom, often etc..

• She never goes to the temple.

• Meet him occasionally.

• You generally fail in exam.

• They often create so many problems.


Adverb of manner:
An adverb which shows how the work is done, is called an adverb of manner.

Ex: thus, so, well, hard, slowly, quickly etc..

• She had danced elegantly.

• Have been awarded severally.

• He is approaching you slowly.

• They did everything carefully.


Adverb of reason:

Adverb which shows reason is called an adverb of reason.

Ex: hence, therefore, because, since.. Etc

• He was, hence, diverted towards other party.

• She, therefore, will be happy to see you.
