BTS CONFIGURATION
RESET MANUALLY

carry out a configuration reset of the Extension FSMF.
To enable the Extension FSMF to operate in this role it will need a configuration reset.
The configuration reset deletes any existing configuration data and withdraws the Master System
Module role. The process is performed with the Configuration Reset button located on the underside of the EIF1 port
of the FSMF:

 Reset button is located next to the EIF1 interface. Press reset button for 5
seconds to clear configuration data. Manual reset is required afterwards for
changes to take effect

You can use the reset and service buttons on Nokia AirScale common plug-in units in

case the remote connection is not possible.

Reset Less than 5 s Reboot to active partition SW (nominal SW), no changes in configuration

Reset More than 5 s Reboot to active partition SW (nominal SW), commissioning data cleared, no changes to
security parameters; recommissioning is needed

Service Single click Reboot to fail safe SW; re-installation of the nominal SW and recommissioning are needed
ASIA unit have front-accessible service and reset button available. Pressing the reset button for 5 seconds will
result in clearing configuration data. Manual reset is required afterwards for changes to take effect.
