Do you prefer comfortable shoes, or good-
looking shoes?
• I think I do like comfy shoes better than good-looking ones. I’m a pretty
active person and I’m always up for adventures so I move and run a lot the
whole day. Because of that, I would love to have comfortable running shoes
as my companion.
• I love looking at fancy shoes with high heels but I’d absolutely prefer to
wear flats because I walk a lot. High-heels may look nice but to walk in
them is a different story. Also, wearing comfortable shoes makes me feel
more confident and active.
• Ah, that’s an easy one! I much prefer comfortable shoes, cos for me,
comfort is definitely the number one priority. But that’s not to say I don’t
care at all about how they look. I mean, I don’t wanna go around wearing
shoes that look hideous! You know, that would be pretty embarrassing. But
as long as they’re ok looking, then that’s good enough for me.
Do you prefer comfortable shoes, or good-
looking shoes?
• Although I’m hooked on shoes that are in vogue, particularly ones
that are sold in limited numbers, I must admit that comfort is my top
priority in buying a pair of shoes. Usually, I will go for sneakers of
famous brands like Nike, you know I just kill two birds with one stone
as their shoes fit well and are extremely all the rage as well.
• Ideally, they would be a combination of both. I couldn’t wear an ugly
pair of shoes no matter how comfortable they were because they will
not suit my outfits. On the other hand, even if I loved the way the
shoes looked, I wouldn’t want to be in pain every time I wore
them. Even worse, my feet would be worn-out.
Do you think men and women are equally
interested in buying shoes?
• I believe women are bigger fans of buying shoes. I don’t mean to
stereotype but maybe it’s because clothing for women is much more
diverse and complicated and so is their footwear. It’s likely men and
boys don’t have so many options that drive them nuts to choose
from.
Do you think the type of shoes someone
wears reflected their character?
• Yes, I do. People say that first impressions are important and I think that goes for
shoes too. If you see the person wearing a worn out pair of shoes, it gives you the
impression that they are sloppy. On the other hand, if you see someone wearing
brand name shoes that cost a fortune, you know that the person has plenty of
money to splash around and don’t care about costs.
• I do believe that you can tell a whole lot about a person from his or her shoes
though. For example, people who wear expensive and fashionable shoes tend to
be more appearance conscious and detailed than those who don’t.
• I would agree up to a point because we should never judge a book by its
cover. Having said that, it’s possible to discern things about a person probably
from their certain shoes such as creativity, extroversion and introversion. For
example, if you see a girl wearing jazzy shoes, she is a flamboyant person for sure.
Do you think it’s reasonable to spend a huge
amount of money on shoes?
• Again, it depends. If you have a lot of disposable income, then you should
spend it on whatever you like. But, if you’re on a tight budget then buying
anything expensive is a challenge.
• Yes, financially strong people want to buy expensive shoes. According to my
perception, college students also buy branded shoes that are very costly,
and for that, sometimes they pressure their parents to give money for it.
• Some people! I think people who are wealthy are more apt to (appropriate
or suitable in the circumstances) buy expensive brands. On the other hand,
there are some people who would rather have a few quality items rather
than a bunch of cheap quality pairs. So, I think this type of person often
tends to buy more expensive shoes also.
