CONSISTENTLY LIVING ACCORDING TO THE TRUTH KEY VERSE
“AND WHATEVER YOU DO IN WORD OR
DEED, DO ALL IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS, GIVING THANKS TO GOD AND THE FATHER BY HIM.” COLOSSIANS 3:17 INTEGRITY SYNONYMS ANTONYMS Completeness Divided Entirety In bits and pieces Wholeness Disconnected Perfection Cut off Soundness Ailing Harmony Incomplete Integrated- all fitting together Integral- whole number, no fractions or divided parts Character- the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual PEOPLE OF INTEGRITY IN THE BIBLE NOAH- “perfect” because he chose to obey God when God told him to build an arc. Genesis 6:9 JOB- “blameless, upright” because he chose to stand in the truth even God let him suffer and his friends forsake him. JOSHUA- he totally followed God and break down the wall of Jericho. DAVID- “integrity and courage” a shepherd boy who killed the giant enemy and soon became a king. SOLOMON- walk before God in truth with all their heart. DANIEL- he was being thrown at the lion’s den although there was “no error and no fault” found in him. JESUS CHRIST- he is our great example of a man of integrity because he is “true” and chose to obey God’s will even it means dying at the cross. 1 JOHN 1:7 “But if we walk in the light , as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” Living in integrity is a process of cooperating with God’s Spirit as we daily confess sin and obtain his covering(propitiation). hypocrisy “The practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one’s own behavior does not conform; pretense.” Following are the hypocritical actions: 1. Using God’s name in vain
2. Not keeping our words
3. Making fun of someone in class
4. Repeating rumor about someone, even if it is
true. “LIVE A GLORIFYING LIFE TO GOD AND A BLESSING ALWAYS.”- shows a good rule model of integrity.
