NOTES
 03/12/19 Squelch of 120.9Mhz was changed from -88dBm to -107dBm on direction from the GM
 05/12/19 Enugu Modem monitored on major alarm with Modulator unlocked at 0800UTC. Modem
monitored locked at 1000UTC on its own.
 07/12/19 Enugu Modem monitored on major alarm with Modulator unlocked at 0908UTC. Both the
modem and mol2p was powered off and then on after 1min , but fault remains the same. At
1245UTC , Enugu link came up itself. A test call was carried out successfully
 09/12/19 It was observed that 127.3Mhz VHF radio is not been used for communication. The
complain was the frequency 127.3Mhz was filtering into TOWER FREQ. Only 120.9Mhz was been
used
 09/12/19 Enugu link was monitored down at 1200UTC. The link came up at 1449UTC after work by
Mr Bethold
 12/12/19 Duty officers observed that doing communication, (LO,LS) is not indicated on the ENUGU
Mol2p display. The Mol2p was reset, (LO,LS) now appears.
 13/12/19 Enugu Mol2p was rebooting itself continuously . Mol2p was switched off for some
minutes and then powered on. Confirmed serviceable and in use.
 13/12/19 Enugu Modem monitored on major alarm with Modulator unlocked . MOCOM staffs
present changed the ENUGU link modem to a spare modem available. Confirmed serviceable and in
use.
 16/12/19 DATCO complain that there was interference on 127.3Mhz VHF radio and hardly hear
pilot’s communication
 16/12/19 TS duty officer reported that controller complain of clicking sound on 127.3Mhz VHF radio
(MAINS)

NOTES
8TH floor visited to monitor the status of the radios, it was observed on T6R that someone was keying the
frequency somewhere. After some minutes, status of T6R(127.3Mhz)monitored normal
 18/12/19 Duty officer at TRACON confirmed that communication around ENUGU has improved
considerably because DATCO was able to communicate with aircrafts around APVOT, VADAG, RALIN,
UH206, OVRAM, ENUGU, MILBU, IKROP & ORVAM
 19/12/19 DATCO complained of 124.7Mhz VHF radio Tx filtering into 120.9Mhz VHF radio (MAINS) .
118.1Mhz radio Tx filtering into 120.9Mhz VHF radio (MAINS) . Interference usually occurs in seconds
27/12/19 DATCO complained that they cannot communicate with aircraft around PHC and ENUGU axis.
The radio was monitored for a while, the ERIF card of PHC and ENUGU were RESET. ENUGU mol2p was
resetted too. Communication monitored okay
 ILORIN radio link was monitored down on days highlighted due to power

NOTE
 02/12/19 (1235) LAG2 Mol2p was turned off to switch the Douala ATS/DS C1 Port from E&M to FXS
 02/12/19 (1250) LAG2 Mol2p was powered on , Malabo RJ11 cable was removed from Malabo
LagLome and put in LAG2 Mol2p C1 Port to serve as Douala 2 wire cable
 04/12/19 (1320) Phonebox installed at tracon and test call made successfully. Douala ATS/DS Link
now on 2 wire and monitored ‘S’
 31/12/19 Lome Frame Relay was down (0730 – 1040UTC) due to preventive maintenance on earth
station on Lome end
 Libreville and Niamey ATS/DS remains down due to faulty FMT
 Malabo Frame relay remains down through the month
