PICTOGRAPH

 A picture graph, or pictograph, is a graph used to display information that uses


images or symbols to represent data

 A survey was conducted for 40 children by a fast food junction to understand the
demand for different flavors of pizza available in their outlet. The results were as
follows:

BAR CHART
 A bar graph is useful for looking at a set of data and making comparisons. For example,
it’s easier to see which items are taking the largest chunk of your budget by glancing at
the above chart rather than looking at a string of numbers. They can also shows trends
over time, or reveal patterns in periodic sequences.

 The following chart shows water usage (image courtesy of the EPA) you can see that
toilet water usage is greater than shower water usage because the piece of the "pie" is
greater

 The following dot plot illustrates each student's Quizzes score in Mr. Ruel class. A
different student is represented by each dot.

 The following stem and leaf plot illustrates the scores of 10 students for a 50
question test.

The table above shows the number of visitors per quarter (per three months) to a vacation spot in Baguio.

If this data is plotted onto a graph, this will be a time series graph, as it shows the frequencies over time.

From the graph, it can be seen that there is a large fluctuation each year in the amount of visitors. However,
there is a pattern that repeats each year. For example, many more people visit in the summer months than
they do in the winter months, and this is the same year by year.
