• Operating heavy equipment, and

handling dangerous substances and
hazardous materials, is a part of the
daily tasks of many workers at oil
and natural gas sites, Because these
operations can pose hazards for
workers, worker health and safety is
a key priority. Every company in the
upstream oil and natural gas industry
has an integrated health and safety
program, audited regularly against
strict industry standards.

• The fire, spills, equipment failures

and accidents can result in loss of
production, there are systems
designed to help prevent accidents,
protect equipment, minimize the risk
of injury and ensure safety of drilling
equipment and continuity of
operations. To ensure workers are
protected from hazards, they have to
wear the appropriate PPE and are
trained to work safely, the companies
have to support in their training and
practices.
