NATURE OF THE PROBLEM
Today’s consumption-driven community produces an
enormous amount of waste. Our current culture of
consumption is unsustainable. This large amount of waste
produce in every single student puts huge pressures on the
university to manage waste in a more sustainable manner. A
strategic zero waste concept is essential for developing and
executing systematic waste management activities to achieve
the goal which is the zero waste university.
OBJECTIVES: To encourage the students to minimize waste and to
promote ecological awareness

To reduce the waste generated in landfills by


individuals.

To guide the students to improve their lifestyles by


applying the 5R concept of zero waste.
To transform the university into a zero waste
zone.
