READING TECHNIQUES
There are four reading techniques in which we can improve
our reading skills.
1) Skimming

2) Scanning
3) Detailed reading

4) Revision reading
SKIMMING
 Skimming is reading a text quickly to get a
general idea of meaning.
 Skimming is defined as taking something off of
the top.
Scanning :
Scanning is reading a text quickly in order to find
specific information. Scanning is commonly used
in everyday life, for example when looking up a
word in a dictionary or finding your friend's name
in the contacts directory of your phone.
DETAILED READING
 Detailed reading means reading something
carefully to get accurate information. You would
do this if you had to read long or complicated
material in a book or a report. You have seen how
skimming and scanning can help you to decide:
how useful a text is going to be.
REVISION READING
 This involves reading  rapidly through material
with which you are  already familiar, in order  to
confirm knowledge  and understanding.
STAGES IN READING TEXT
 These three phases are pre-reading, while-reading
and after-reading phases. Each of them has its
own important role. They are all necessary parts
of a reading activity. In language classrooms,
these phases have to be put in consideration in
order to achieve to develop students' reading
skills.
