• Leadership is the ability of an individual or a
group of individuals to influence and guide
followers or other members of an organisation.
Visionary leadership
• Leaders inspire and empower people to achieve difficult but rewarding goals.

• Leaders empower people to strive towards a unified goal, leading the charge

towards success for all

• Difficult to be successful with this management style.

• Helpful to make a big organisational change and get everyone on the same

page.

• Suitable for professional team with less supervision, not suit for team with

little experience in their field.


Laissez – faire
• the word means let them do.
• Leaders give all authority to their employees.
• In a smoothly run laissez faire, the boss appears at the beginning
and the end.
• Leaders encourage self direction to promote creativity and
innovation among their employees.
• Common among start ups, team composed of skilled professionals
needing freedom and creativity.
• Not good for companies that can’t self manage.
Transactional leadership

• Focuses on rewarding workers with incentives to improve their


performance.

• This make the effort is worth.

• Effective for short term work

Pacesetting
• Bosses set a challenging work pace for the employees for a difficult but
rewarding goal.

• Mainly in sales jobs for specific achievements.

• Healthy competition
Transformational leadership
• Constant transformation based on the peoples
goal
• Practised by companies focused on growth
Democratic leadership
• Makes decision based on the insight of each
person
• Get most information and feedback possible
from the most dependable sources.
Coaching

• Managers who incorporate this style are focused on training and mentoring their

employees. These managers pinpoint the strengths of each employee to foster their

development of professional skills.

Affiliative

• Peace and harmony

• Create trust by solving personality conflicts.

• Newly formed teams

Authentic leadership

• Simplest but most genuine

• Focuses on development oriented and altruistic solutions to solve modern issues.


Directive

• A manager who uses this style emphasizes the importance of the business
hierarchy, where managers are the authoritative figures and make all the
decisions. Managers are responsible for delegating tasks to lower-level
employees.

Participative: 

• This leadership style, also known as collaborative, emphasizes the


importance of every voice in the company. Managers who practice a
participative style of leadership listen to feedback from employees at all
levels.
