CHILDHOOD
• Disney lived most of his childhood in Marceline .
• 1911 they moved to Kansas city .
• Works summer jobs with rail roads, selling snacks, &
news papers to travellers .
• Dropped out school to join the Army but was rejected .
ANIMATION CARRIER
• In 1919 Disney started carrier as a newspaper artist .

• With his friend Fried Fred started their own animation company .

• Produced cartoons named Laugh―o―grams.

• First fairy tale was Alice in cartoon land.

• By 1923 declared bank rusty due to debt.

• In California Disney , his brother Roy &U B Iwerk started Disney brothers

studio.

• Invented a character called Oswald the lucky rabbit .

• A few years later Disney discovered their distributors stolen the right of

Oswald along with Disney animators.


• Later developed the character MICKEY MOUSE

• In 1939 a new campus for Walt Disney studio was opened in

Burbank.

• In 1941 a setback of the company occurred due to strike .

• Disney was the first to use television as an entertainment medium.

• In 1955 Disney land theme park opened on Anaheim .

• In 1966 Disney was diagnosed with lung cancer.

• He died on December 15 1966 at the age of 65.
