This document contains information about a micro project created by four students at Government Polytechnic Thane. It discusses different types of energy, including kinetic energy and potential energy. It also covers the first law of thermodynamics, which states that energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred or transformed. The document defines renewable and nonrenewable energy resources, giving examples of each type. It concludes by stressing the importance of energy efficiency and sustainability.

Roll No :56 INTRODUCTION OF ENERGY Energy, in physics, the capacity for doing work. It may exist in potential, kinetic, thermal, electrical, chemical, nuclear, or other various forms. There are, moreover, heat and work, energy in the process of transfer from one body to another . TYPES OF ENERGY THEIR ARE TWO TYPES OF ENERGY
Kinetic energy Potential Energy
Kinetic energy is a form of energy that an Potential energy is energy that is stored – or object or a particle has by reason of its conserved - in an object or substance. This motion. If work, which transfers energy, stored energy is based on the position, is done on an object by applying a net arrangement or state of the object or force, the object speeds up and thereby substance. You can think of it gains kinetic energy. as energy that has the 'potential' to do work.
Potential Energy has 4 forms:
Kinetic Energy has 5 forms: Chemical energy Mechanical energy Nuclear energy Electrical energy Gravitational energy Thermal energy or heat energy Elastic energy or stored mechanical Radiant energy or light energy or energy electromagnetic energy Sound energy
FIRST LAW OF THERMODYNAMICS
This law, first proposed and tested by
Émilie du Châtelet, means that energy can neither be created nor destroyed; rather, it can only be transformed or transferred from one form to another.
“Émilie Du Châtelet” was one of the great
figures of the Enlightenment in France. ... She and Voltaire collaborated on his book about the elements of Newton's philosophy, which was radical stuff for a France still enamored with Rene Descartes, but she also published her work and was highly regarded for it RENEWABLE AND NONRENEWABLE ENERGY : There are nine major areas of energy resources. They fall into two categories: Nonrenewable and renewable. Nonrenewable energy resources, like coal, nuclear, oil, and natural gas, are available in limited supplies. This is usually due to the long time it takes for them to be replenished. Renewable resources are replenished naturally and over relatively short periods of time. The five major renewable energy resources are solar, wind, water (hydro), biomass, and geothermal. OVERALL CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Energy efficiency is the wave of the future. The world is quickly
moving towards energy sustainability. At the same time, the mankind is trying to re-establish the connection it once had with nature. An energy efficient home is a personal step toward the direction of renewable energy, environmental protection, and sustainable living. Having such a home helps homeowners reduce their bills and provides an excellent investment
Thus we must always take precautionary measures to consume less energy
and save more and more energy for future generations. THANK YOU !
