Child development
Child development
• Development = pattern of change begins at conception and continues
through out human lifespan.
• Child development = the sequence of development in ranges of skills and
capabilities including physical, cognitive, language, emotional, social, moral
and spiritual.
• Influenced by factors internally (built in the body such as genetics) and
externally (outside or surrounding the body such as environment and people).
• Child development resulted from interplay of three processes – biological,
cognitive, and socioemotional.
