Major CSR Activities
• Contribution of ₹ 250 Crore to PM Cares Fund to support Government of India in its efforts to fight COVID-19
• Established 1200+ beds with 750 oxygen supported beds and 15 ICU beds
• Installation under progress of PSA Type big Oxygen Generation Plants at NTPC Stations.
• Proactive relief measures like regular sanitization of villages, distribution of PPE kits to health professionals, distribution of face
masks to villagers and supply of groceries to the community.
• Mobile Health Clinics (MCH) operational at Various locations providing healthcare to underserved areas.
• Revived MSW Plant at Varanasi & Pilot Project done for Mechanized Sweeping, Collection & transportation of MSW. Varanasi
jumped from 428th in 2014 to 27th in 2020 in Swachch Survekshan rankings. Varanasi is also the cleanest city along the banks
of the river Ganga.
• Support committed for Setting up of Tele-Recording Room at AIIMS, New Delhi
• Construction of Burn Unit at AIIMS Patna, AIIMS Bhubaneshwar and KGH Lucknow
• Setting up Library (Pustakalaya Project) in selected Primary Schools of Arunachal Pradesh
• Capacity building of farmers at Jhanor, Rihand, Kahalgaon & Ramagundam improving incomes by 30% to 300%.
• Committed to providing training to 8000 no. of youth in Ladakh and J&K UTs in association with NSDC and NSDF.

10 TPD MSW to Charcoal at Dadri, 24 TPD Waste to Energy plant at Varanasi, 600
TPD Waste Management plant at Varanasi already operational with other similar
projects under pipeline
Biomass Pallets: 52,595 MT bio-mass pellets co-fired with coal at NTPC Plants till
Oct’21.Biomass Pallets: POs placed for 4.1 LMT for Dadri (4 years) and 4 LMT for
other stations. Award for another 20 MMT over four years is in progress.

At NTPC Simhadri, waste heat from flue gas is used for distillation of sea water
instead of steam or electricity as used in conventional systems.

Geo Polymer Concrete Roads Constructed at NTPC Stations.

Air Cooled Condensors are being implemented at North Karanpura & Patratu

Fleet of NTPC’s Electric Buses flagged off by Hon’ble LG of Andaman & Nicobar
