• Since 1900, 543 vertebrate species have gone extinct
• Animals play a critical role in medicine
• Animals are nothing but dumb machines
• Ahiṃsā - means non-violence
• Henry Stephens Salt - the first reference to the concept of animal rights
• In 1635, the first animal cruelty regulation was established
• Martin’s Act aimed at preventing cruelty towards cattle in 1822.
• IUCN Red List has evaluated 35,765 species
• Animal exploitation is widespread and common in Asia
How is the status of Animal Rights at the moment?

Most rapidly expanding social movement in the world. 

In Asia, they’re struggling to fight for animal rights

In the Philippines, began to stop & reduce killings. 

•It is sad that those vulnerable vertebrate
species have gone extinct.

•No one is protected from cruelty.

•We have no right to harm others in brutal

ways.

•It would affect medications testing procedures.

•Human hazards are reduced when animals do not have

rights.

•There would be added enforcement costs.

•Animals are not humans.

•Ecologically,having an animal husbandry is
extremely helpful to avoid extinction of animals
that we eat.

•Animals deserve the same basic human rights

•A law can only be implemented for those people

who intentionally hurt animals.

•Replacing animal testing with human testing

doesn’t put human patients at risk.
Conclusions:
• We must enact animal rights and live a peaceful life.
• No humans excuse killing animals through conducting
scientific tests.
• Animals surely deserve to enjoy their lives. 
• Animals have the rights to treat with dignity and respect. 
•  What we do to them reflects our intention to them
• Animals are living creatures that deserve to have rights like
humans.
