HUMAN RESOURCES

• is the organizational function that deals with the people and issues related to
people such as compensation and benefits, recruiting and hiring employees,
onboarding employees, performance management, training, organization
development and culture.
HOUSEKEEPING

• in a hotel is a very physically demanding job that includes many, varied


tasks.  Housekeepers were responsible for cleaning 16 rooms per shift. The
actual amount of work depends on the size of the room and the number of
beds.
SECURITY

• is vital to the success of independent hotels and properties that are part of a


larger brand. Guests bring valuables and important papers into
their hotel rooms.
FOOD SERVICES
• The food and beverage professionals tirelessly work to intensify customers'
experience through their service. The F&B Services providing businesses
deliver food and beverages to their customers

MARKETING SALES
• Marketing Sales include “operations and activities involved in
promoting and selling goods or services."
FINANCES
• Hotel financing can be used to build, buy, renovate, or refinance
a hotel or motel.
OTHER SERVICES

RECEPTION GUEST- A formal party for guests, such as one after a


wedding an area in an office, hotel, etc, where visitors or guests are received
and appointments or reservations dealt with.
ROOM SERVICE-a service provided in a hotel allowing guests to order food
and drink to be brought to their rooms.
BUFFET SERVICES-a buffet service, guests can choose their food from a
wider selection made available on the buffet line.
There are 4 common types of buffet service:
• Simple Buffet – Guests get food from a buffet line and waiters move around
to clear tables and help guests with minor requests.
• Station-type buffet – Waiters serve the beverages while guests get the other
dishes from the buffet line.
• Modified deluxe buffet – Tables are set with cutlery; waiters serve the
beverages, coffee and dessert while guests get the other dishes from the buffet
line.
• Deluxe buffet – Waiters serve appetisers, soup and/or salads and beverages.
Guests take the other dishes from the buffet line.
Self Services-Diners place, pay and pick up their orders at a counter
similar to fast casual and fast food establishments.
Waiter Service-More commonly known as sit-down service, a
waiter takes care of everything from taking orders to serving food
and payment.
Hotel Prevention-A hotel loss prevention officer is responsible for
the safety of the hotel and it's guests. Common duties include
checking for safety hazards, monitoring security video, and
assisting hotel guests.
SECURITY DEPARTMENT

• The security department is often regarded as a passive department,


reacting only when called on. In reality, it is a very active department,
setting policies, organizing programs, and delivering training programs to
promote guest and employee safety.
