• Technology has been a major impact on us in many ways due to the
major advancements over the past decades. Technology has changed
our generation by influencing many aspects of our daily life:
communication, home entertainment, housing and lifestyle, health
industry, education, and traveling. Each of these aspects can have
positive and negative effects.
COMMUNICTION AND TECHNOLOGY
 POSITIVE INFLUENCE ON COMMUNICATION
- Over the years, technology has helped make communication easier
for us by inventing techniques such as electronic communication.
- With the use of emails, voicemails, social media, video chats and
calls we are able to be closely connected to one another globally.
- Technology can also enhance students relationships by being
introduced to cultural differences.
- Business relationships can positively be influenced by technology:
information and communication
NEGATIVE INFLUENCE ON COMMUNICATION
• With the use of technology, people tend to forget about the real world
and focus more on the digital world.
• Can lead to lack of face to face interactions.
• Possibly lack your social skills
HOME ENTERTAINMENT
POSITIVE IMPACT ON HOME ENTERTAINMENT
• Able to keep more memories/data stored onto CDs/DVDs now
instead of old videotapes that did not provide you much safety and
protection as CDs and DVDs do.
• LCD TVs provide higher definition and better quality
• Invention of smart TVs & game systems that provide more sources of
entertainment

• Lack of photographed memories

• Easier to shop and order things to your home online instead of having
to go to the store to take up time to shop

• Most objects in our homes in this generation are more likely to be
automated
• Provide more security/safety with items such as: security
cameras, automated door locks, lighting control.

• Major advances in surgical rooms in hospitals with new useful
technology that help minimize mistakes made by doctors
• More access to treatment
• Allows you to download apps in our phone and desktops allow us to
be up to date with our health and stay active: calorie counters, record
weight, etc.
• Enables you to access treatments for illnesses on certain websites
• Technology has provided communication between patients and
doctors via text message and email to contact for medical purposes
EDUCATION

• Allows students and teachers to access variety of information through
the internet: books, videos, images)
• Online courses provided to students
• Online education allows people to join globally
• Computers used in certain classrooms for better teaching assistance

• Easier to cheat

POSITIVE IMPACT ON TRAVELING
• More simple to travel long distance with the invention of trains, cars,
and airplanes.
• Navigation in car or on phone help people get to their locations on
time.
